ABOUT THE CENTER

The Center supports whistleblowers, who suffer from retaliatory measures when they expose corrupt behavior at their workplace. Whistleblowers are people, who detect and report behavior, which could lead to mismanagement of public funds, violation of legal procedures, human rights or legitimate interests of institutions, organizations and companies, their staff or any relevant associates.

A threat of retaliation is meant to scare and silence (potential) whistleblowers, which is why it should be condemned and not allowed under any circumstances, while whistleblowers should get all the support that they need.

The Center is also actively involved in the processes taking place within Slovenian legal system to institutionalize procedures, rules and legal frameworks to protect whistleblowers in accordance with EU and international legal standards as well as by following examples of good practice.
